Your privacy
This page says, in plain words, what NAP Workshops keeps about you, who can see it, and what it never keeps.
What the site keeps about you
- Your name and email, and the group or groups you belong to.
- Your password, scrambled so that nobody can read it, not even Eliza.
- Which weeks you marked as read and which quizzes you finished. Only you can see these. Eliza cannot.
- Your Display choices (text size, contrast and so on) and whether you want emails.
- If your group has one, your signed Success Agreement and its file.
- A short record of sign-ins and changes, with the time and the internet address of the device used. It helps keep accounts safe.
What the site never keeps
- Your quiz answers and scores. When you check a quiz, the site marks it and shows you the result. It does not save what you answered.
- No tracking, no ads, no analytics and no code or fonts from other websites. Every page comes only from this site.
- Nothing about you is sold or shared.
Who can see what
- Other students can never see anything about you, your group's papers aside, which only members of that group can open.
- Eliza, who runs the workshops, can see your name, email, groups, and whether your account is switched on.
- Weekly Zoom recordings can be watched only by the members of that group, after signing in.
- The site's stored backup copies are scrambled with a passphrase that only Eliza holds.
Emails
Emails come from eliza@deafgain.org through Google's email service. They only tell you that something is waiting for you, with a link to sign in. They never contain notes, recordings or quiz content. You can turn them off any time in My account.
Your choices
- In My account you can change your password and turn emails on or off. In Display you can change how the site looks and moves.
- You can ask Eliza to remove your account completely. Your account, your places in groups, your finished marks, your signed agreement and its file, and the sign-in records about you are all deleted. Copies inside the scrambled backups are replaced as newer backups take over, within about a year.
